Another hugely positive and busy week for Erin’s Own, with championship action beginning across the club, fantastic achievements for our county representatives and continued progress on the development of our facilities in Caherlag.
🏆 Minor Championship Victory
A huge well done to our Minor Footballers on an excellent victory over St Nicholas in the Premier 2 Championship.
Erin’s Own produced a brilliant performance to win on a scoreline of 5-09 to 0-10. Congratulations to all the players and management, and best of luck as the championship campaign continues.

🏟️ A Special Day in Croke Park
Our U12 boys enjoyed a fantastic trip to Croke Park on Tuesday, where they had the opportunity to play football against teams from across the country.
What a brilliant experience for our future stars to play on the famous Croke Park pitch. Well done to the players, coaches and everyone who helped make it such a memorable day.
🏆 All-Ireland Champions
Massive congratulations to Megan Barrett and Niamh Hartnett, who helped Cork win the All-Ireland U18A Ladies Football Final.
This is an incredible achievement for the girls, their families and everyone involved with the Cork team. Megan and Niamh continue to represent Erin’s Own with great pride, and everyone in the club is extremely proud of them.
🟣 U12 Camogie All-Ireland Blitz
Best of luck to our U12 Camogie team, who travel to Whitehall on Sunday, 9th August to participate in the All-Ireland Camogie Blitz.
Following the blitz, the girls will travel to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Final between Cork and Galway.
It promises to be a brilliant experience and a fantastic day out for the players, coaches and families involved. Enjoy every minute and make plenty of memories!
🚧 Club Development Update
There continues to be great progress around our facilities in Caherlag.
💡 The installation of the new floodlighting on the top pitch has now been completed. This is a major improvement that will significantly increase the availability of training space throughout the darker months.
🍽️ Work on the kitchen renovation has now commenced and is expected to continue over the next four to six weeks. We look forward to seeing this important club and community space transformed.
It is an extremely busy period around the club, but also a very encouraging one as we continue to improve our facilities for all teams, members and visitors.
❤️ Capital Development Fundraiser
The number of supporters joining our Capital Development Fundraiser continues to increase, and we are hugely encouraged by the response so far.
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up and supported the long-term future of Erin’s Own.
We ask members to continue sharing the fundraiser with family, friends, former members and anyone who may wish to support the club. Every person who joins brings us another step closer to providing the best possible facilities for our whole community, young and old, for generations to come.

Our Erin’s Own Summer Camp begins next Tuesday in Caherlag.
📅 Tuesday 4th–Friday 7th August 🕙 10:00am–2:00pm
It promises to be a fantastic four days of games, skills, fun and making new friends.
There are now very limited places remaining, so anyone interested is encouraged to book as soon as possible.
