U14 Camogie County League, Game 2 V. Blarney
A well earned victory for Erins Own away in game 2 of the U14 camogie county league. Blarney started the game very well scoring a few quick unanswered points. Erins Own gained their composure & started to wrestle back control of the game. A few niggly injuries for some of our girls impacted the flow of the game, however we went in 2 point up at half time with scores coming from Danielle Quaine, Emma Duggan & Ciara Mullins.
In the second half Erins Own played with a slight breeze at their backs & immediately grabbed a firm control of the game, especially in the middle third of the pitch with outstanding performances from Orlaith Ní Shúilleabháin, Danielle Quaine, Éireann Finn, Aoife O'Connell & Evie O'Donnell.
We had some brilliant performances all over the field with Rachel O'Callaghan catching the eye at full back, Emma Duggan working very hard all evening & Caoilainn Hegarty scoring some great goals again this week. Scores in the second half came from Caoilainn Hegarty & Éireann Finn.
Well done to all & we look forward to seeing this group progressing as the year continues. Next game up for the girls is against Killeagh which will be a very difficult challenge & we wish the girls the very best of luck.
